Customer Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Proffera operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent service providers. Proffera is not the service provider. By using Proffera, you agree to these terms.

2. Marketplace Role

Proffera facilitates search, comparison, booking, payment processing, completion-code payment release, reviews, and dispute facilitation. Proffera does not guarantee service outcomes beyond platform policies.

3. Independent Providers

Providers are independent businesses or individuals, not employees of Proffera. Providers are responsible for their work, tools, insurance, licensing, and taxes.

4. Booking and Payment

You agree to pay the displayed total at checkout. Payment is charged at checkout. Your professional is paid only after you provide your completion code after satisfactory completion (protected payment, not an escrow account). Do not share your completion code until work is complete.

5. Fees

The provider sets the service price. Proffera charges a protection fee shown at checkout. The total due is displayed before you confirm payment.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are handled per Proffera's dispute policy. Refunds may be issued when disputes are resolved in your favor.

7. Disputes

Open disputes through your account. Proffera triages disputes quickly; human review applies to escalated cases.

8. Emergency Services

Proffera is not for emergencies. Call 911 for emergencies.
